The yard is coming together

Well, with all the hard work we've been doing on the yard it is starting to pay off.

We've got our paver path and patio installed with a fire pit! We've had a few social functions at the house around the fire. The kids like watching for satellites when the sun goes down and making smores in the fire.

The grass is really coming in thick this year, and that means a much longer mowing time for Jim. That's OK, exercise is good, right?

The recent wet spell has turned dry and the water is receding rapidly in the back "moat." Darla's garden is doing very well, and we should have a bumper crop this year of corn, onions, tomatoes and other odds 'n ends that Darla has planted.
